The Rainforest Alliance - Alicia Procello Maddox

As President of the Avery Dennison Foundation, Alicia Procello Maddox takes pride in creating and altering a corporate culture that was previously one of absolute greed. In her role, Alicia Procello has overseen close to $5 Million dollars in grants for countries in Asia, South America, and even parts of Europe.

These grants were created in order to educate the citizens of these poor, underserved regions, on things like farming, sustainability and to help keep forest devastation at an all-time low. In addition, much of the money, allowed younger children to attend school where they will also learn life skills that are necessary to growing up in their environment. Essentially Alicia Procello Maddox and her team at the foundation, want to help bridge these gaps between cultures and try to help the 3rd world as much as possible. Certain issues like clean water, organic, safe farming and even the treatment of women in these cultures.

Alicia Procello Maddox has seen first hand how women are often treated like second-class citizens, yet end up doing the most for their family as well as the community. Providing women with equal footing in the communities will allow for families to grow and pass down skills to their children.

Alicia Procello Maddox, and the team at Avery Dennison’s Foundation plan to have the same mission. To spread awareness of education, sustainability, and equal rights for all no matter of race or gender. Besides having the same goals, they plan to go over it with laser focus helping to ensure a better future for those in need.
