The Rainforest Alliance - Alicia Procello Maddox
As the President of the Avery Dennison foundation, Alicia Procello Maddox, is working to spearhead an international effort to save the rainforests of South America. Having been a part of a number of sustainability projects, Alicia Procello Maddox has the experience and the necessary voice to maintain the forests, create jobs, and increase access to sustainably-managed forest products in rainforest regions such as Honduras.
Working alongside the Rainforest Alliance, Alicia Procello Maddox and her team at Avery Dennison are doing their best to help curb deforestation, throughout the world. The team has lef educational missions to these remote locations in order to educate the natives, forest managers, and farmers on sustainable alternatives to forest destruction. In addition to such educational missions, Alicia Procello Maddox has pledged resources, seeds for crops, and equipment to perform better, more efficient farming, and the foundation as a whole has pledged over $600,000 in grant money!
